Testcard for Creepage Distance Is Based onGB/T 16935.1-2008/IEC 60664-1:2007Standard Design and Manufacture, It Is Mainly Used to Inspect the Creeping Distance and Electrical Clearance of Electrical Accessories Such as Electrical Products.

Terms to Explain:

n Safety Distance Includes Electrical Clearance (Space Distance), Creeping Distance (along Surface Distance) and Insulation Penetration Distance.

n Electrical Clearance: the Shortest Distance Measured along the Air between Two Adjacent Conductors Or One Conductor and the Surface of Adjacent Motor Shells.

n Creeping Distance: the Shortest Distance Measured along the Absolute Surface Insulation between Two Adjacent Conductors Or One Conductor and the Surface of Adjacent Motor Shells.

n Primary Circuit: Primary Circuit Is a Circuit Directly Connected with AC Power Supply.

n Secondary Circuit: the Secondary Circuit Is Not Directly Connected with the Primary Circuit, but Is a Circuit Powered by Transformers, Converters Or Equivalent Isolation Devices Located in the Equipment Or Batteries.

Measurement Steps of Electrical Clearance:

u Determine the Peak Value and Effective Value of Working Voltage;

u Determine the Power Supply Voltage of the Equipment and the Type of Power Supply Facilities;

u Determine the Transient Overvoltage of Entering Equipment According to Overvoltage Category;

u Determine the Pollution Level of the Equipment (General Equipment Is Pollution Level 2);

u Determine the Insulation Type of Electrical Gap Jumper (Functional Insulation, Basic Insulation, Additional Insulation, Reinforced Insulation).

Steps for Determining Creeping Distance:

u Determine the Effective Value Or DC Value of the Working Voltage;

u Determine the Material Group (According to the Leakage Index, It Is Divided into: Group I Material, Group II Material, Group III a Material, Group III B Material.)

u Determine the Pollution Level;

Determine Insulation Type (Functional Insulation, Basic Insulation, Additional Insulation, Reinforced Insulation)
