Bad packaging. Cheaper version, even the hole for the diode was not cut...

Counterfeit and misleading product. This RFID reader looks similar to an ACS ACR122U however a notable difference is that the ACS logo is missing. Additionally, they went through the effort of having it display as an ACS ACR122U in software, but it does not function as such. It requires proprietary software to function, shown in the description, which looks very dodgy and also limited in features. The software uses the ACS name and logo, but this software does not exist on the official ACS website indicating that it is likely fake. One of the issues with it not functioning as a normal RFID reader, is that to be able to use it as a payment terminal or a security access device as suggested in the description, it needs to be able to work with the software that does those things... This only works with specific software, which isn't even provided; you have to ask for it to be sent to through email. This is a counterfeit product, and it's not even a good one.

The order came in a crumpled box without a disk with software, no logo does not match the original. It's fake! Buy do not recommend save your money and nerves!
